Elle Vee
Leading up to this breakout year, Elle Vee has been working hard for a long time to get to this point. For as young as she is, Elle Vee has already had a more successful career than most. She has been a dedicated musician and began songwriting at the age of 12. She taught herself how to play piano and had written over 100 songs by the time she was 13. Showing more dedication than most at her age, she was first recognized while attending a music conference called Mobfest at the age of 14. After a few publishers had heard her music on a listening panel, they expressed interest in the young talented artist. This eventually led to her first music publishing deal at Hitco, the publishing company of L.A. Reid. She was the youngest artist to sign a major publishing deal that year, and it was a defining moment in the young star’s life. An important moment happened in her career in 2008, when she beat out 30,000 other submissions to win the Songwriter Universe contest at the age of 16. That year, she also had her songs “Two People” and “The Best Apology” placed in the motion picture April Moon.”
The following year Elle Vee signed her second publishing deal, this time with Bug Windswept. This turned out to be a very successful partnership, as she would find her music soon appearing everywhere. In the next few years, Elle Vee had three songs placed on MTV’s The Hills, two songs on CSI, another featured on The Real L Word, and two on Bad Girls Club. As she was finding huge success as a young artist through that publishing deal, she was also accomplishing other things. By 2012, she had written 1200 songs and her song, “Standing In The Mirror” was recorded by universal artist Shannon Nicole. Not many artists are capable of accomplishing this much, especially at such a young age. Others in the industry took notice, as Elle Vee was showing a lot of promise as a young artist. In 2012 she collaborated with the legendary producer Toby Gad, and she continues to have success throughout the industry. That same year, her song “Don’t Wait” was synced by BC Jeans, Alloy Entertainment Show “Talent.” She also had a song placed on Dance Moms, her song “Aftermath” was synced on One Life To Live, and her song “M.I.A.” was released by Joelina with Warner Brothers Germany. She would have another song, “Sugar High” appear on MTV and another song appear on MTV’s Catfish late that year.
She then signed her third publishing deal with Radar/BMG Music Publishing. After signing this deal, she collaborated with another legendary producer Rodney Jerkins. She also received offers from Roc Nation and Dr. Luke’s publishing company Prescription Songs. It was in 2014 Elle signed her 4th publishing deal with Rodney “Darkchild”Jerkins, and BMG/Chrysalis. That same year she sang in the box office megahit Lego and Friends adding yet another accolade to her already impressive career. She would then release “The Domino Effect” which was an extremely popular song used in the TV show Dance Moms. The track was later released on iTunes and sold over 10,000 units.
As 2015 came around, her career continued to take off as she began working with a number of other artists. These artists included Keith Harkins on his new single “Take Me Down” and Laura Leigh on her single “Howling At The Moon.” While attending the Rodney Jerkins writing camp she wrote the track “Never Give Up” which was placed with Sam Bailey, the winner of The X Factor U.K. Her song “Honey” was also released that year by Universal Records artist Saara.
Elle Vee was one of 2016’s breakthrough singers and songwriters. Last year alone, she collaborated with some of the world’s best artists such as Benny Bennasi, Ken Loi, Dzeko & Torres, Wasback, and Paris Blohm to name a few. Her tracks have been supported by Tiesto, Blasterjaxx, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwelll, Nicky Romero, Andrew Rayel, Breathe Carolina, Ummet Ozcan, Futuristic Polar Bears and many others. It seems like every track she works on becomes a success. What many do not see is the years of hard work she has put in leading up to this point. Many musicians may have breakout years, but Elle Vee has been putting out great music for nearly a decade. She is far more than a great vocalist featured on one or two hit records. The combination of her fundamental musical knowledge, immense songwriting experience, gifted production abilities and her iconic voice place her in a class above many other emerging artists. Elle Vee is an artist worth remembering, as you should expect to see her music for years to come.
In early 2016, she signed a co-management deal with Andrew Lazar and Craig Vinarsky at Timelapse Music Group. The three of them successfully worked on landing major features and key collaborations throughout the year. Her biggest song to date is her latest feature on the track “Into Dust” produced by Paris Blohm. It was released in January 2017 with Trap Nation’s label imprint Lowly Palace. Elle is put in the spotlight and she shines through as her voice takes you through a wide ranging melody that continues to draw you in. The track instantly broke 3.7 Million views/streams on YouTube and over 2 million on Spotify and 1 million on Soundcloud. Their song also reached #1 on the global SoundCloud EDM/Dance charts and held the position for almost three days. The song continues to gain support from some of the biggest names in dance music.
Elle also had a couple other huge features last year on Benny Benassi’s new album Danceaholic, Danceaholic was Benny Benassi’s first album in five years. The track Elle was featured on is called Carousel. The way their styles compliment each other made the track a vital part of the very well received album. Another big release she wrote and recorded last year was “Believe” with Ken Loi. It’s a melodic, up tempo dance hit that openly displays the range and distinct character of Elle’s voice. “Let It Go” produced by M35 and Wasback was also released in early December of 2016 with Blasterjaxx Spinnin Records imprint, Maxximize. Elle is put in the spotlight and she shines through as her voice takes you through a wide ranging melody that continues to draw you in. The track instantly broke the Beatport Top 100 and reached #4 on the big room chart. It aired on over 160 radio stations in 60 countries around the world She’s also responsible for writing the Dutch X factors winner’s first single “Don’t You Wait” released by Syco and Sony records.
All of these features and collaborations helped pave the long road Elle Vee has traveled to get where she is today. After the insanely successful year she has had in 2017, there is no telling how far she can go. There are many female vocalists, but there are very few with the talent and work ethic that Elle Vee possesses. With a combination that rare there is no telling how long she will be in the spotlight, or how bright that light will shine.
