Future house leader Tchami has released a multitude of essential tracks that embody the ascending genre, including his originals “Missing You” and “After Life,” in addition to his contagious remix of Jack Ü’s “Take Ü There.” Now the French DJ is now expanding beyond his production talents and is diving into the business end of the industry by establishing his own imprint Confession Label.
“I want to help create a bigger picture for a song, an EP or any form of musical project that Confession will be involved with,” says Tchami. “I also love the idea of being more independent and giving artists, including myself, another option to release music.” To celebrate the launch of the label, Tchami released a minimix that teased five impending records on the newly-launched label. With regards to building the label’s infrastructure, he says the process was “very organic.” Although he admits there is plenty of work ahead to maintain and grow the brand, he says these are “responsibilities that I am not afraid to take.”
