Alesso is a producer with absolutely unmatched potential. However, he is out of shape for a few years already by the influences of the charts, but also of the American EDM scene.
In the good old days, Alessandro Lindblad was a point of reference in terms of Progressive House.
“Moma”, “Running Up That Hill”, “Years” or “Calling”, alesso promised us a bright future for Progressive melodic music. Nowadays, the young Swedish follows the movement and offers nothing very interesting, artistically speaking.
Following his latest disappointing track “Move Like That“, Alesso returns with another flat remix of “Mi Gente“, the huge tube of summer 2017, proposed by J. Balvin & Willy William.
The drop is not bad, but it is far from what we would expect from Alesso. Still very flat, and feels like there's no effort in the construction and development of the title, in comparison to the remix of Frenchy Cédric Gervais (played by absolutely all DJ's EDM).
We are unfortunately more and more disappointed by Alesso and we would really like to see him return to his level of 2010-2013. In spite of all the above, Grammy-nominated Alesso is no stranger to the top of the charts, however, with 5 UK top ten singles to his name to date, including the number one hit ‘Under Control' (with Calvin Harris and Hurts). The official video for ‘Falling' has seen over 3.7 million views and counting, while his official account on Twitter surpassed two million followers.
