It's an impressive career Federico Mercuri and Giordano Cremona are making.
After they started DJing together a few years ago in their hometown Milan, the duo quickly grew out to become a well known electro/progressive act, releasing their first official tracks on labels like Spinnin' Records, DOORN, Protocol, and Revealed.
Last year, the guys scored a huge hit with ‘Get Get Down', and then signed an exclusive deal with Spinnin' Records, followed by the release of the popular tune ‘Upndown', receiving praise from artists like Calvin Harris, dimitri vegas & like mike, David Guetta, hardwell, Afrojack and VINAI.
After this, they returned to their home label with ‘Don't Need No Money', working with famed Dutch singer Steffen Morrison, and the club tune ‘Invisible', both supported by a cool list of DJs. Recently, Merk & Kremont also delivered their debut release on Spinnin's Copyright Free Music label, the exciting tune ‘GANG', still free to download as we speak.
‘Sad Story (Out Of Luck)'
And now, after all this club and festival excitement, Merk & Kremont release perhaps their most anticipated record ever. ‘Sad Story (Out Of Luck)' is a beautiful soundscape that brings a delicate beat combined with a smooth guitar lick, glorious basslines and luscious vocals that tell an amazing story.
Using a sample from ‘Out Of Luck' performed by Ady Suleiman (licensed courtesy of Simco Limited) it's a track that perfects the Merk & Kremont sound in a truly wonderful song.
“We were coming back from a gig and we heard the original song on the radio – we had to shazam it cause we had never heard of it, but we both fell in love with it instantly and decided we just had to make our own version. We actually laid the first tracks that same night, even though we were so tired, we just had to do it. This is the result, and it feels like our best work yet.” – Merk & Kremont
