Legendary UK producer and DJ Paul Woolford has unveiled the club-ready D-Mix of his brand-new single ‘You Already Know’, with the original set to follow on Friday 5th April.
Securing a spot as the 400th release on iconic label Positiva Records, Paul’s latest record pairs a range of retro-sounding electro synths with a thumping bassline and strong piano-focused breakdown.
Working tirelessly over the course of a 20-year career, Paul has made a name as one of dance music’s most versatile acts, recently gaining huge support from legendary BBC Radio 1 broadcaster Pete Tong on his 2018 hit ‘Hang Up Your Hang Ups (The Only One)’. Paul also holds the honour of recording 5 Essential Mixes for the station and has just been named as an R1 resident, broadcasting his cutting edge style on a monthly basis.
With his slick productions capturing the imagination of DJs across the board, the producer has received support from Ricardo Villalobos, The Chemical Brothers, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, and Erol Alkan to name just a few. Applying his midas touch to productions from the likes of Lana Del Rey, Disclosure, Wiley, Jamie XX and London Grammar, Paul has also proved his hand as a remixer.
Outside of the studio, the dynamic DJ prides himself on his ability to keep pushing boundaries on the live circuit. Playing key clubs globally such as Panorama Bar, Fabric, Warung and D Edge in Brazil, the performances followed his 9-year stint as a resident DJ at Space Ibiza’s ‘We Love Sundays’ events.
The release of ‘You Already Know (D-Mix)’ not only marks the 400th release from globally esteemed label Positiva Records, but also follows the imprint’s 25th anniversary celebrations during 2018. Celebrating a quarter-century at the summit of the dance music industry, the UK-based label marked the occasion with a series of special remix releases throughout the year and hosted a special party at Ibiza’s Cafe Mambo.
Packed with his rhythmic signature style, Paul’s new D-Mix of the track is out now, with the original version of ‘You Already Know’ set to follow on Friday 5th April.
