Chuckie brings the heat with fellow Caribbean artist Steve Andreas – this is ‘Latino’

Spinnin‘ label returns with one of the most anticipated singles to date: x – Latino. Legendary Dutch DJ/producer Chuckie is teaming up with fellow Caribbean artist Steve Andres, and the pair drops ‘Latino‘, a hot blooded piece of latin styled big room house, already supported by some of the biggest DJ’s out there.

It’s been quite the success story for Dutch/Caribbean DJ/producer Chuckie. Coming up along with his famed Dirty Dutch imprint, as an artist he’s let his legendary mixing skills and plush production do all the talking. Winning two MOBO Awards, he’s brought a saucy blend of hip hop, latin and Dutch house music, leading him to work with the likes of Trinidad James and Lupe Fiasco, while remixing major artists like Michael Jackson, P. Diddy, Rihanna, Sean Paul and more

Earlier this year saw him team up with producer Childsplay. They brought the new J Balvin single ‘Machika’, featuring Brazilian superstar Anitta and Aruban newcomer Jeon. Making him come full circle; from hip hop and commercial dance in the 90’s to bubbling, latin and urban, now re-inventing himself yet again with a strong latin based song, drenched in contemporary dance music.

This ranges from moombahton and afro to house and urban, leading him to work with both local and international successful artists. Among them Chuckie, Mastiksoul, Dyna, Afro Bros, Jeon, MC Roga and Genairo Nvilla. He left his mark with his first release ‘Misunderstanding’, signed by Chuckie on Dirty Dutch Digital, followed by two other releases on Cr2 Records.

For this, he’s teamed up with Steve Andreas; an artist born and raised on the Caribbean island of Aruba, know as a talented DJ/producer skilled in different music styles and genres. His music is best described as an electronically made, diverse mix of musical styles, made up of catchy hook melodies with a touch of Caribbean rhythm & groove.

It’s an exotic piece of dance music, hot blooded and exciting, working wonders on the dance crowd, already supported by DJ’s like Hardwell, Laidback Luke, W&W, Kryder, David Guetta, Dannic, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Tujamo and many more.

Hot blooded sounds with “Chuckie x Steve Andreas – Latino”

“Me and Steve Andreas been going back and forth for a while now, looking for the perfect beat. When he sent me his first version of ‘Latino’, I fell in love with the latin vibes. However, I felt that I wanted to change it and make the record different from whatever was out there already. I wanted to make an electronic record but built with hip hop drums. When he came over to my house. We sat down at my dinner table and finished the record in about two hours. We paid extra attention to the final mix and master to make sure ‘Latino’ could be played on every dancefloor worldwide and here it is!!!” Chuckie

“It all started at my house. I usually jam on Ableton every midnight when I get home from a long day at the studio. It was an instant flute melody that caught my attention. I already felt so good with the melody and thought to myself “This is it”. I was always working on ideas with Chuckie, but we never took one up to this level. So when I sent it to Chuckie, he instantly also felt the idea but wanted another version of it. So then I thought to myself, I want a version of this track that can bang through speakers with a NEW and fresh sound where the house vibe and the urban vibe is blended with a Latino vibe all together in the melody. The moment we had the final version, we felt like THIS WILL BE THE ONE!”Steve Andreas
