Greek newcomer Pulsar revealed his latest track, titled “Hear Me” featuring amazing vocals by Amanda Jean. “The idea of “Hear Me” was created last summer around August. All summer was on a creativity search for myself to discover what I want to produce because the genre I was producing till then was only progressive house and after some time I started getting boring of it and of course it wasn't ‘'selling'' anymore. So my listening taste started diverting more to the dance pop scene but I was struggling to convince myself that I will not ‘'sell out'' progressive house to produce dance pop/future bass because it's mainstream“, Pulsar explains.
At that time he was finishing his courses at SAE Institute in Athens and though he was producing music for some exercises and projects, he wasn't really moving forward with his own music. So he took some time off with friends and family and he didn't open Logic Pro for almost a month.
“After some rest I opened logic and started playing melodies and chords and then thought ‘why not go from 128bpm to 146? There is nothing wrong with it'. And without even realizing it after 1-2 days I had the whole idea of the track ready and starting searching for the most fitted vocalist! And fairly quick I found out on a Instagram post Amanda Jean singing. I was immediately convinced that i will do this track with her. And after 1 month of writing lyrics and the vocals the best way possible”, says Pulsar.
As for the lyric story behind “Hear Me” the producer claims that it was something that came from personal experience. “When i sat down with Amanda to explain the story and discuss about how to write the lyrics wasn't expecting much because she isn't a songwriter first but a very good vocalist. I truly was excited when i saw the final lyrics! It impersonated the situation so good that it was like yesterday“.
Finally with time passing by, “Hear Me” started from a summer of inactivity in music and ended up to be Pulsar‘s first 2018 release & single to mark a change on his music! “More music is coming in the next months and I have already another release ready for February . I'm trying to get finished as many tracks, as I can so i will be able to release one track every month to show the evolution of my taste and feelings around music!”
