After releasing out of the blue “Beats Do Work“ on Matisse & Sadko's imprint, Monomark Music, the Russian producer Shapov had another working title played on a Monomark Night event. Entitled “We Are Stars We Are Lights“, the Russian prodigy is returning to his melodic lines with a breakdown that's impressively fresh and a bit pop.
While waiting for his anticipated “Four Corners EP“ on axtone records, the unstoppable shapov keeps on making buzz by revealing even more new tracks.
Cleverly combining classic and forward-thinking elements has now become a signature characteristic for the young Russian's work, that have in turn come to form the ‘Shapov sound', which dominated 2016 and will continue to dominate in 2017.
Even though both the title and the label are not yet confirmed,“We Are Stars We Are Lights“ shows that Shapov will make an impact this year. For us it's more like an Axtone release than a Monomark sound.
