Ahead of their performance at Los Angeles venue Exchange, on March 16th, Dutch duo Showtek have unveiled their highly-charged new single ‘Listen To Your Momma', featuring the vocal talents of Dutch singer and songwriter, Leon Sherman.
Since the brothers have been playing this tune in their live sets for quiet a while, it'll be well worth the wait for the loyal showtek fans. This track is a powerful dance version of their own single ‘Momma'. The track showcases the dutch duo's signature style, pairing a vibrant electro build with an explosive big-room drop. Written on Mother's Day, ‘Momma' is a tribute to mothers and women all over the world; a topic which takes on great importance to both the Showtek and Leon Sherman. They believe in empowering women and bringing awareness to the hardships they have faced over the years.
Comprised of sibling pair Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, Showtek are founders of their own label ‘Skink'. Having exploded onto the global dance scene following success with crossover hits such as david guetta collaboration ‘Bad' (363 million Spotify streams) and ‘Booyah' (40 million Spotify streams), the latter peaked at #5 in the UK Singles chart, marking their first worldwide major hit.
Having worked with some of the biggest acts in world dance music, including fellow Dutch producers Tiësto and hardwell, the duo also collaborated with Major Lazer in 2016 for ‘Believer', which has over 70 million Spotify streams, and with moby in 2018 for ‘Natural Blues' and counting. United by a love for music, excitement, artistic freedom and adventure, Showtek's ‘Listen to Your Momma' fuses elements of global rhythm's with their trademark festival-ready sound, and is set for release on March 15th via their own Skink Records label.
