Enigmatic French producer Gesaffelstein‘s return to the spotlight is in full force. His forthcoming album Hyperion broke five years of relative silence with unsettling first single “Reset” in November. Now, he’s teased a second tune on the heels of a Coachella announcement, and this time, he’s brought The Weeknd. The track is titled as “Lost In The Fire” and is about to be released on Columbia Records.
Both artists favor a haunting darkness, and while only 11 seconds long, this teaser sounds in line with the pair’s more ’80s-influenced work. It’s accompanied with a visual of The Weeknd brooding back-to-back with the new black chrome Gesaffelstein, which first made an appearance in the “Reset” music video.
“”Lost In The Fire“” follows two Gesaffelstein productions from The Weeknd’s EP My Dear Meloncholy: “I Was Never There” and “Hurt You.”
