After having their past four releases picked up by Annie Mac‘s esteemed ‘Hottest Records' accolade, the Bristol-based house duo Icarus are gearing up to release a new five-track EP which set to drop later this year via Pete Tong‘s FFRR imprint. This time they release Echoes.
Ahead of the release, icarus has also shared the first lead single off their forthcoming EP – a slice of glistening and classic progressive instrumental house music that clearly illustrates why the duo is being heralded as one of the UK's most promising talents at the moment.
Speaking about their thought process behind ‘Echoes' constructing the new tune, Icarus had this to say: “We wanted to challenge ourselves to write an instrumental track that evokes feelings without the use of any lyrics. To us it represents a journey, with evolving landscapes and changing colours as the music progresses.“
At the end of October, Icarus is hitting the road with the wildly popular Australian band RÜFÜS DU SOL to support their North American Solace Tour. Learn more .
