Fresh from his performances alongside Craig David and Rita Ora at the start of September, British singer/songwriter Bobii Lewis is back with huge new track ‘The Reason.' The production, a melodic anthem which has proved hugely popular in Bobii's live sets as the likes of Reading and Leeds Festival this summer, is set for release on Friday 28th September, and follows the success of Bobii's previous record, ‘Never Leave.'
Tipped as one of Complex's ‘10 British R&B/Soul artists to watch', Bobii Lewis has been making quite a name for himself throughout 2018, playing at RiZe Festival, with further appearances at Tramlines and the Great Escape. Having catapulted into the mainstream consciousness with his 2016 mixtape ‘Blind In The Summer', featuring WSTRN, Stefflon Don, Avelino, and Wretch 32, the production soon clocked over 2 million listens on SoundCloud, with Bobii consequently signing to bmg Records.
Later going on to collaborate with Kojey Radical on ‘Daylight' and with Not3s on the feelgood ‘Force You', Bobii cites the likes of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and bob marley as his earliest musical influences, with the North Londoner offering the same upbeat and soulful elements to his music as his heroes.
Featuring on BBC 1xtra's playlist with the BBC Introducing track ‘Drifting', Bobii has since written and featured on TIEKS' latest single ‘Break The Rules.' The single was later christened as MistaJam's ‘Jam Hot' on his bbc radio 1 Dance Anthems show.
