Labelled as one of music's fastest rising talents, exciting new Gothenburg songstress Nadia Nair has unveiled her new single, the beautifully soothing ‘K'.
Having emerged from behind the scenes, working with the likes of Skip Marley and Kindess, Nadia bursts from the realms of her native Sweden, now delivering beautiful original material that promises to cross over into the UK and beyond.
The first track to be revealed from a forthcoming project, ‘K' will be self-released on 18th May.
With Nadia's breathtaking vocal providing ‘K' rich layers of raw melancholic emotion, the track's production opens with emotive guitar riffs before introducing crisp percussive elements and a deep bass.
Her refreshing sound undeniably puts the listener in the front seat, striking them note after note with a voice that allows both the vulnerability and strength it possesses to pierce through – accompanied by the chords of her very poetic and lyrical abilities and the rawness she brings forth in her music that is honest and reflective of her world and time.
A soulful artist who has previously written for many talents, including Soleima, SEEB, and steve angello, Nadia's release of ‘K' precedes her eagerly anticipated album release, packed with her poetic, honest and reflective lyrics.
The Swede describes her sound as, “Open for interpretation art”, with her Scandinavian roots matched against her Malaysian-Indian heritage. Allowing these sounds to mingle, Nadia has constructed something that is both furiously innovative and unrelentingly immediate. Her love for writing, roots, pains and passions spill into every record.
With a strong, beautiful, touching character, ‘K' leaves us certain that this is just the beginning for Nadia Nair.
