Combining their super pumping low end with the iconic stabs and infectious vocal, the much-needed remix pushes all the right buttons!
Like many of today’s dance music fans, the duo grew up listening to The Chemical Brothers and for Toby specifically “Hey Boy, Hey Girl” started his love of dance music.
“Galvanize” was another stand-out track for him, but he never felt anyone had done a proper remix that really brought it up to date and ready to rock dancefloors globally.
. Styline as well shares a bit of thing for old school remixes from cool bands, as evidenced by his The Prodigy – “Smack My Bitch Up” remix last year.
When he was doing some basic tune hunting and came across Toby’s initial remix, he felt the idea was awesome, but could use some work, so he reached out.
Toby responded almost immediately: “When I found out that Styline wanted to jump on the track I was gobsmacked, I’ve been playing out his remixes for a while so to have him on a track with me is absolutely awesome.
He’s really taken the initial idea that I laid out and elevated it to a level which I didn’t think was possible.”Styline ran with the initial idea and gave it his signature, as he explained: “I took the concept and made our own version of it, giving it the Power House touch, so that means more energy, improved sound design, and super pumping low end!
It turned out to be a massive improvement and took the original idea Toby had to the next level and also allowed me to give my spin on the remix without stealing anyone’s idea so really it turned out to be a great collaboration.
”The results is a super fat, driving, groovy monster that has become a must play for both!
As Styline describes, “The new version is shortened, even more pumping, and sounds awesome through and through, so it’s becoming a weapon for every set!”
Toby echoed that sentiment, “I’ve been playing this out at every opportunity from small bars to massive super-clubs in London and the response has always been awesome, people are always dancing around and going nuts!”
