Finnish DJ and producer Alex Mattson has unveiled his huge summer track, ‘Discovery’ (out now), a vibrant and melodic floorfiller which looks set to become one of the most played tracks of the upcoming festival season.
First gaining recognition as the first Finnish solo artist to sign a record deal with the Grammy Award-winning Ultra Music, Alex Mattson is best known for his debut production ‘UFO’ which has so far gained almost 10 million Spotify streams, gaining platinum status in Finland.
The upbeat, bassline-led release, follows Mattson’s previous single ‘Complicated Love’ which was released earlier in 2018.
A multi-talented and diverse producer, Mattson has also produced songs for other artists. Among them Reino Nordin‘s ‘Touch’ (produced together with Leo Salminen) and ‘Free’ (produced together with Tido Nguyen).
“Discovery is a very special song for me,” Alex added. “I’ve been releasing a lot of pop twisted songs (which I absolutely love). This time I wanted to release something that gives me the same feeling I had when listening to the first electronic tracks I got into before my career.”
Having started his musical career as a drummer, Alex Mattson also began to study electronic music production in Amsterdam. He graduated as a master of deep house and melodic beats. His latest single ‘Discovery’ is out now!
