Hooks are great — they make pop music everything that it is. In the case of Brazil’s MC Fioti, he stumbled on one that led to quite the feat; amassing more than 800 million views on YouTube alone and hundreds of millions of spins on streaming platforms and radio waves, “Bum Bum Tam Tam” might just qualify as the biggest international banger the world has ever seen.
“Bum Bum Tam Tam” is an absolute smash and one fans of any genre will want to listen to again and again. It samples JS Bach‘s “Partita in A Minor” for flute, and the multi-lingual remix features heavy hitters J Balvin, Future, Stefflon Donand Juan Magán, but that just brings the vocal to a few more ears. If you’re heading to the club, you may still want a dance remix, and that’s where French master David Guetta comes in.
His remix of “Bum Bum Tam Tam” takes the beat to new stomping levels. David Guetta gives Fioti’s anthem a big, boisterous intro and some serious snare drum, plus a few electronic elements to let you know you’ve arrived at the middle of the megaclub dance floor. It’s reminiscent of dance remixes from the big room bass heydays, so get ready for some sparklers.
David Guetta‘s remix of “Bum Bum Tam Tam” sees official release on Aftercluv Friday, April 27, but you can listen to it below, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
