After going solo with his releases ‘Moving On' and ‘Home Tonight', following a globally successful career as part of DJ-duo Volt & State, Quentyn is back with yet another smash song of his own. Partnering up with the talented singer duo Rico & Miella, with ‘Only Reason' the Dutch DJ, producer and sound engineer offers a splendid track, showing that Progressive House is back!
After being supported by Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix and Hardwell in their sets, ‘Only Reason' is released today on Enroute Records. Showing an infectious blend of a melodic anthem combined with pop-flavoured deliciousness, ‘Only Reason' is a song that sticks. As classically trained electronic musicians with a “weekend warrior” mentality, Rico and Miella's wide-ranging vocals caught the attention of Dutch Producer and DJ Quentyn back in 2013 when they released a previous track together on Armada Music titled ‘Shadows'.
Quentyn: “After working together from afar on ‘Shadows, we finally met in person in Miami exactly one year ago, spoke about music and it instantly felt like we were on the same page. I worked with them in the past in my days of Volt & State and it felt exciting to reconnect now that I am solo producer. When I heard the vocal I was immediately hooked and inspired to write something melodic to it.
Rico & Miella: “We were so excited to finally meet Quentyn in person in Miami because our first release as Rico & Miella was with his project Volt & State. We totally hit it off and began work on Only Reason together. Our two styles of production meshed perfectly which helped create a beautiful and powerful progressive record around Miella's vocals. We couldn't be prouder and are so excited for everyone to hear the three of us go back to our roots.”
Quentyn collaborated with and has been supported by some of the music industry's finest, from Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero to don diablo. The Dutch producer has previously released on labels like Protocol Recordings, Armada Music, Spinnin' Records and Revealed and is now building a catalog on his own label Enroute Records. With many more releases set on the horizon, Quentyn is evolving as musician, producer, and artist.
With today's release the producing artist shows his wide variety of skills and interests. Comprising the silky vocals of U.S.-based duo Rico & Miella the track ‘Only Reason' emphasizes the Volt & State vibes fans know and love from Quentyn's past.
