Hailing from Bristol, UK, producer / DJ Redlight boasts a career that has spanned over a decade and includes Top 10 UK singles, and international hits like 2010’s viral success ‘What You Talking About!?’ feat. Ms.
Dynamite. In addition, he has collaborated with artists such as Mobb Deep and Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), and done official remixes for acts including Mary J Blige and Tink. Showing no signs of easing up quite yet, today, Redlight is back with a brand new single titled “Ride That Thing”
Out today via Insomniac Records, “Ride That Thing” follows Redlight’s latest club smash, ‘Zum Zum,’ and represents the second taster of his forthcoming artist album, due spring 2018. Inspired by “80’s Chicago, raw jacking house and early UK Acid” and premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio1, ‘Ride That Thing’ sees Redlight tap into a myriad of influences, combining heritage sounds, color and texture with booming, lo-slung basslines — a staple of Redlight’s output.
Proving a natural fit amongst the Insomniac Records roster, Redlight’s “Ride That Thing” will find a place among the label’s thriving discography that also includes releases from Cut Snake, Jack Beats, Chris Lake, Bingo Players, Sacha Robotti, and many more.
