Dutch phenomenon Mike Williams is in excellent form with his new single ‘Feels Like Yesterday‘. The track classically blends high energy pop vocals, fiercely delivered by Robin Valo, with a blazing electro house drop and overwhelming synth chords. A true early summer anthem, delivered by one of the masters in the genre.
Young buck Mike Williams experienced a massive breakthrough year in 2016, getting noticed by Tiësto, who signed Williams’ debut release ‘Sweet & Sour’ on his Musical Freedom label, meanwhile supporting the young DJ whenever he could. More hit singles followed, including the Tiësto collab ‘I Want You’ and singles like ‘Another Night’, ‘Bambini’ and ‘Don’t Hurt’ – with millions of streams turning Mike Williams into one of dance music’s newest tastemakers.
Last year saw Williams undertake a series of new, genre crossing collabs, including team ups with Lucas & Steve and Curbi (‘Let’s Go’), Brooks (‘Jetlag’), Dastic (‘You & I’) and Felix Jaehn, resulting in his biggest hit so far ‘Feel Good’ (currently counting over 58 million Spotify streams).
‘Feels Like Yesterday‘
As DJ support and streaming figures have increased since Williams‘ entry to the scene, anticipation by now is high with every release. Well, new single, ‘Feels Like Yesterday’ definitely meets these expectations, rolling out a cool electro house vibe alongside radio friendly vocals by Robin Valo – a true crossover tune bound to please both festival crowds as the airwaves.
The record is also part of an exciting new partnership with Skype, teaming up for a remix contest through both Spinnin’s and Skype’s platforms – stand by for this to go live soon.
