Al last “So Far Away” by David Guetta and Martin Garrix is out now on the latter’s label STMPD RCRDS. This song has quite the history behind it. What was supposed to be a mega collaboration between three of the most exciting artists in the music industry, ended up almost not even seeing the light of day.
Martin Garrix and David Guetta initially teamed up with Ellie Goulding, although she eventually had to be dropped from the project after her label refused to let this song see the light of day before her forthcoming album was first released.
David Guetta and Martin Garrix were not down with the plan to push this back once again and they got Romy Dya to re-record Ellie’s verse, while she’s joined by Jamie Scott on male lead.
The results are still stunning. The track has heaps of main stream appeal. It is exactly what the radio audiences in America currently look for in a release. There is no doubt that the single would have gone high on the charts with the inclusion of EllieGoulding.
The song is debuted with a visually-stunning music video. HD colors explode into wild shapes in the romantic fantasy come to life. If you’re looking for the perfect song to dedicate to someone special, this just might be the ticket. “So Far Away” is out now on Martin Garrix‘ label STMPD RCRDS.
The song will most likely not see the same level of success without the super star vocalist as it is nothing absolutely outstandingly original. Still at the end of the day ‘So Far Away‘ will be keeping main stage crowds happy until MMW next spring. Stream/Buy it here.
