It’s summer song season, and Michael Brun is tailor-made for sunshine. His Haitian roots give him the upper hand. His heart beats to a tropical rhythm, and his blood runs warm all year round. His take on the summer sound is far from the typical.
It’s not clichéd or obvious, it’s just fun and inviting, and he brings that smartness to his remix of OneRepublic‘s “Lift Me Up.”
He draws out the song’s danceability with Caribbean bounce and brigtens the melody with island textures. His take was is inspiring, OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder just had to hop into the studio with him to add a bit of his own flair to the production.
Michael Brun‘s spin was upgraded to official remix, and today, it’s out everywhere on Mosley / Interscope.
