Up and coming producer DEVI has unveiled his newest single, “You & Me,” out now via Illusiv. The package includes a Classic Deep House remix to accompany the original, produced by none other than DEVI himself.
Both tracks include a heart pounding drum rhythm, an evocative bass section, and lush synth tones that swirl high up above the mix. The title track and remix manage to pay homage to dance music's past while providing a glimpse of its path ahead.
With three and a half minutes of pure atmospheric bliss on “You & Me” and another four and half minutes on the deep house remix, both tracks encompass the essentials of what makes dance music what it is, while shining light on its future evolutions; cementing the nineteen year old as a force to be reckoned with.
DEVI made headlines back in 2014 with his unofficial remix of Calvin Harris' smash hit “Bounce.” His remix garnered over 7.5 million plays across YouTube and Soundcloud alone, establishing DEVI as a producer to look out for. His distinct vocal-inspired productions have seen him rework Aaliyah and Drake tracks into soulful electronic cuts that have earned him more than three million Soundcloud streams in just a few short years.
His music continues to receive regular play from oliver Heldens and mk, in addition to BBC Radio 1 plays on Dance Anthems with Danny Howard. With official remixes for Lion Babe, Rudimental and Basic Tape under his belt, in addition to running his fortnightly radio show on Reprezent Radio in London, the young producer continues to turn heads.
