[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=” admin_preview_bg=”] Crash Landjust released their self-titled debut track ‘Crash Land‘ that you can stream on Spotify or Apple Music right now, or grab on iTunes.
With the establishment of Martin Garrix‘s STMPD RCRDS — recently expanded to include a recording studio in Amsterdam — one would expect the label’s first release to be a version of ebullient, catchy house that turned its founder into one of the biggest stars in electronic music. However, Martin Garrix has always maintained that the label would feature an eclectic range of artists and STMPD RCRDS’s first official release confirms that.
Leading STMPD’s vanguard is the self-titled single from mysterious duo Crash Land. With space-themed visuals and the track opening with a countdown, the track understandably opts for a mysterious, extraterrestrial hip hop vibe. A rumbling bass provides the foundation for infectious verses and atmospheric synths. For a debut — both from STMPD and Crash Land — the track’s quality is intriguing and portends good things to come from both.
