Hardwell reveals that he will not play at Tomorrowland this year

One of the most influential artists in the dance music industry, Hardwell has been one of the most inspiring producers in the scene throughout the years. He shot to fame when his live performances captured the hearts of fans worldwide, with his intoxicating energy and impressive transitions.

In 2013, his performance at Tomorrowland racked up over 26 million views on YouTube, which was arguably a turning point in his career, as he went on to become the worlds number one DJ according to DJ Mag that year and the following year.

However, things took a turn when Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike were awarded the prestigious #1 spot in 2015, and vocalized his opinion regarding their methods on social media.

In response to 3LAU, Hardwell made his views clear on the duo allegedly using iPads in their DJ Mag campaign. Since then, Hardwell has not performed at the festival, and has revealed via his chat bot that he will not be performing at the 2017 double edition either.

It is largely believed that this originates from the fall out with & over the DJ Mag poll. We can only speculate whether Hardwell will return in 2018, but one thing is for certain, Hardwell's energy-infused sets are certainly missed at the mainstage.
