The Chainsmokers surprised us once again by dropping the next single from their upcoming debut album Memories…Do Not Open on Disruptor/Columbia Records, titled “The One”. Pre-save the chainsmokers – The One on spotify here.
It is the first track on the album, and it's not a song about heroes. This one goes out to all the mistakes we now we're gonna make again. A hair short of three minutes, the slow-build tune opens with a vocoded chorus and heartbreaking piano before singer Drew Taggart comes in with the cracking whisper of a guilty man.
The guys gives us a touch of the synth before it's finished, but this is not the big dance moment of the album.
