Having been played by Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, “Badlands” finally has its official teaser and a home, which was rumored to be Steve Angello’s label, SIZE Records.
Signed on Tom Staar’s imprint Staar Traxx, Simon Alex‘s highly anticipated collaboration with AK9 is about to be released and there is no doubt that it will get even bigger attention in the near future.
Artur Kurzynski, better known as AK9 is also one of the latest and freshest producers to hit the scene these last few years. Originally from Łódź (Poland), Artur produced his first bits and pieces of music nine years back when his uncle first introduced him to the DAW known as ‘Fruity Loops’. Artur began messing around with the program and was instantly intrigued by the capability and platform from which he could make music. He began to make small bits and pieces of trance and eventually advanced in his style of production.
New York-based Simon Alex was the youngest member on Steve Angello‘s imprint label, circumstance that’s promising for all the unknown talents out there, when he won the “Children Of The Wild” Remix Contest on Size last year.
Promising talent Simon Alex brought the groove back to house music with his debut release “Aviator”, which was packed with Mainstage groove, peak-hour power, and a refined style that one might not expect from such a young artist, also with his collaboration with Tom Tyger on Protocol Recordings for “Axe”, and lastly with his electro-infused Progressive House banger remix to Dada Life’s single “Tic Tic Tic”.
Following successful releases on Axtone, Wall Recordings, SIZE, Spinnin and Ultra to name a few, it felt only right for Tom Staar to get behind the controls and start his own label ‘Staar Traxx‘.
Having had some stellar releases since its launch from the talented minds of Ansolo, Eddie Thoneick, Rob & Jack, Victor Porfidio, Mark Martins and Defiev only naming a few, Staar Traxx is really making the atmosphere light up, enrolling great talents, such as Simon Alex.
