Fans have finally been gifted the official release of Marshmello’s newest single, “Ritual”, making his highly-anticipated OWSLA debut featuring Wrabel. The masked EDM pioneer has statistically had one of the best years so far. With the release of countless singles, headlining appearances, fan following, and even earning the 28th spot of the DJ Mag coveted top 100, there are no signs of his slowing down.
Going from bedroom beat maker to international success in just a year, not only is his sound is unlike anything on the market today, his love for the music and his fans only reinforce the scene’s positive environments. His newest single “Ritual” featuring vocals from Wrabel highlights his year-long journey and the evolution of a sound that continuously sets an industry standard.
With a music video attached, the song’s structure is one fans all over can immediately spot as a Marshmello’s. A We Rave You mentions, from the top of the track, listeners are swept in with that future bass sound. The song is carried beautifully by Wrabel’s noteworthy octave range and smooth harmonies and Marshmello’s synth work and piano help push the song into a vibe all its own.
The choices taken really highlight just how far his music has come and hopefully where it’s headed. With all the hype surrounding “Ritual” and now the music video, I think we all can agree this song might be one of Marshmello’s best to date.
Accompanied by his friends throughout, the music video sets the tone for the song and really enhances Marshmello’s love for what he does. With a slue of EDM dynamites behind him: Valentino Khan, Slushii and Skrillex and more, “Ritual”‘s music video is as bubbly as the song itself. Standing as the name for his current tour, it’s obvious the official release of “Ritual” is obviously something he’s proud of.
