Paul Mayson drops a brand new cross-over tune on don diablo's label Hexagon. The rock influenced slow jam on Spinnin‘s sub-label is titled ‘Paralyzed'
The Dutch DJ/producer Paul Mayson is making a name for himself lately with strong tunes such as “Want Me” and “Miles Away“. Both caught our attention at Code Red and to be honest we expected that it would only be a matter of time before Mayson dropped a record on a big label. Well, here you go!
Paul Mayson released the groovy “Ivory” with Backwood on flamingo recordings in 2014. The Dutchman turned it down a notch, but still keeps it groovy. His productions have become more soulful and are flirting with different genres. We like this kind of creativity and we are looking forward to Mayson his future tracks.
Back to “Paralyzed”. It's something new on Don Diablo his label Hexagon, a 113 BPM slow jam with a big bass line and massive guitar riff that could well fit in a proper rock tune. Is this an absolute banger? No, but it doesn't need to be, it's good music and though it's not a banger it has an anthem feel somehow. Add the dark and soulful vocals by John Quarles and what you get is a fresh and original tune.
