Mixed and curated by Melson, Flamingo Recordings presents you ‘Ibiza 2016’, which features the finest summer tunes and new music from producers from all around the world.
One of the freshest tracks included on the compilation is ‘Freak’, which has been conjured by Corey James and Rob & Jack, and it’s set for release May 20th.
UK-favourite Corey James has already made a huge statement during 2016, with releases including ‘Make The Crowd Go’ being spun not once, but twice by mainstage performing artists at Ultra Music Festival.
His ‘Another Storm’ also peaked at #7 in the Beatport charts, to set a label best on Third Party’s ‘Release Records’ imprint.
Rob & Jack are also upcoming Swedes with an ever-growing, well-regarded reputation, due to their passion for all things progressive and groovy.
Their 2016 exploits already include releases on labels including Armada Trice, Sosumi Records and Code Red, via their anthemic ‘Badgal’, together with Sanjin, which gained a lot of stateside hype.
‘Freak’ has already received the stamp of approval from superstar Steve Angello, who officially premiered it during his BBC Radio 1 Residency.
The track’s drops are built upon a dark, dirty groove, by utilising pounding steel drums. On the flipside, the break also unravels to reveal a hypnotic arp on top of an infectious rap vocal that really does bring out the freak out in you.
