We were impatient to see who would have the heavy task of remixing this high-risk title “Dreamer” by Axwell Λ Ingrosso. However, Matisse & Sadko, Jack Wins, Klahr and Arty under ALPHA 9 alias are the big winners and one thing is clear; fans may be quite happy with the final result.
Where is the Progressive version played during the 2016 ADE? That’s the question everyone was asking when the title of Axwell Λ Ingrosso was released. Hearing the discontent of all, the two Swedes come out a Dreamer (Remixes) pack more effective to silence the critics in a way.
Of these 3 remixes, Klahr‘s is the one we liked the least. Without much, it just takes the melody and the synth of the version played during the ADE 2016 with a much slower tempo and a bassoon slightly reminiscent “Renagade” of the duo.
It’s not bad, but for once the young producer does not touch us more than that. The one that should, however, the most appeal to the public and fans is the remix of Matisse & Sadko. In their usual Progressive House style, the two Russians do not hesitate to accelerate the BPM of the original version and add power on the drop which will ultimately make a real misfortune in the festival because it looks more like the first version played by Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso.
Finally, the best for the end according to us, the remix of ALPHA 9 is the one that will have us the biggest slap. In a Progressive Trance spirit, this nice jewel will make you hover over with this sublime addictive flawless atmosphere!
Russian producers Matisse & Sadko have expanded upon the original track’s euphoric sound with their distinctive, inimitable approach to beats and drops, and theirs is a remix said to be a particular favourite of Axwell’s. Also featured is a remix by Dutch producer Jack Wins, who has crafted the duo’s original track into a true club anthem.
Another remix comes courtesy of Klahr, a signee on Axtone Records – Axwell’s very own record label. His version of ‘Dreamer’ reworks the original’s distinctive piano licks as part of an uplifting and expansive remix. And Alpha 9 (the pseudonym of Russian DJ/producer Arty), delivers a classic progressive trance-based remix.
Axwell /\ Ingrosso recently unveiled the official video for ‘Dreamer’ – shot almost entirely underwater. The visually-striking video was directed by Swedish-born Henrik Hanson, whose previous work includes videos for Chase & Status, Swedish House Mafia, Miller and L’Homme Rouge.
‘Dreamer’ by Axwell /\ Ingrosso has already amassed over 70 million combined streams to date worldwide, and follows the duo’s previous, certified global smash hit single ‘More Than You Know’ – which was also the most-streamed dance track on Spotify in 2017.
