[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”] Rumors of a collaboration between The Weeknd and Daft Punk have been circulating for quite some time, but it’s often impossible to know if these high caliber collaborations will ever surface or materialize into full projects.
Fans of the two iconic acts were thrilled to find that, just a few hours following The Weeknd’s announcement of his new album #Starboy, the title track was available for streaming on Apple Music — with Daft Punk in tow.
“Starboy” is exciting, and the production rounds out to be an excellent song, largely thanks to Abel Tefasye’s spectacular vocals.
However, it’s hard not to yearn for a greater presence of Daft Punk production in the overall track.
Hopefully, this new collaboration is the first of many Daft Punk joints in the coming months.
The Weeknd’s Starboy will be released November 26th. Listen to The Weeknd and Daft Punk “Starboy” in full below.
