lesso, Steve Angello and Avicii are up to something. The three Swedish DJs teased the date March 24, 2016 as well as awebsite on their social media, and we've done a little investigative work to try and figure out what's to come.
We were led to the official Facebook page for The Flying Dutch, which became the biggest outdoor festival in The Netherlands last year with an inauguration event that brought 10 of the most popular Dutch DJs to three locations in The Netherlands for one insane day of music.
The second edition is set to take place on June 4th and will feature a stacked lineup that includes afrojack, Armin van Buuren, hardwell, Martin Garrix and tiësto. But maybe that's not all… The Flying Dutch seems to have launched a mysterious campaign with the same as the website teased by the aforementioned DJs: The Journey Continues.
They've offered up two teaser videos (see below) as well as a “Save the Date” for July 30th, 2016. The website and videos build hype for what we can only assume will be a massive announcement. The question remains… is The Flying Dutch headed to Sweden are these Swedish DJs headed to The Netherlands? Either way, if Swedish dance music is the theme, maybe we can look forward to other dance music powerhouses like Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Otto Knows, icona pop, John Dahlbäck or Eric Prydz getting involved.
It will all hopefully be revealed on March 24th, so stay tuned and we'll keep you posted!
