Shelter Point
Nottingham based Shelter Point broke onto the scene in only a few years ago with “Forever for Now” instantly winning the ears of tastemakers world-over. Since then the pair have released a slim catalogue of music whilst setting their sights on pulling together a debut album. Some of these releases include ‘Glass Into Gold’ and ‘Pale’ on RCA/Sony, both of which musically continue an impressive run of form from a duo who began their musical story only a few years prior. “Glass Into Gold” has acquired a huge 500k streams online and have won fans in Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe and the like.
The pair’s early, dense soundscapes hinted at the astral sounds of Boards of Canada and Mount Kimbie, providing the perfect backdrop for their signature haunting vocals. Developing their trademark sound with a series of tactile exercises in melancholy electronica, Shelter Point look set to impress once more. They’ve also recently been working with 3 times Grammy winner Steve Dub, who has worked with Leftfield, Prodigy, New Order, UNKLE, Chemical Brothers, Primal Scream, Beth Orton, Roots Manuva and Underworld. Having played at Great Escape, Live at Leeds, Record Store Day, Bestival and supported Jack Garrat. Plus impressing on live sessions including BBC Introducing, Red Bull and Vevo DSCR, we anticipate the next string of releases from the band will be nothing but the highest quality.
