Almost one year ago, on Friday 20th April 2018, Swedish musician Tim Bergling aka Avicii passed away, after committing suicide, whilst on holiday in Oman. Today, his spirit continues to inspire us through his tracks with the latest being released now. It’s the first single of Avicii’s forthcoming album ‘Tim’ (set for release in June), titled “SOS” and sees the Swede teaming up again with Aloe Blacc, following their 2013 success, ‘Wake Me Up’.

‘SOS’ not only features the poignant lyrical abilities of Aloe Blacc, but also showcases Tim’s exceptional songwriting talents and gives an insight into his deep personal pain.
“I feel like ‘SOS’ was a song that was probably ahead of its time for when he wrote it,” Blacc is quoted. “He wrote these lyrics obviously about some of his battles, and I think it’s a really important topic to approach and to share, especially with his visibility and his access to ears and hearts. To give people the words to be able to say ’I need help.’”
“SOS” is short and sweet at two-and-a-half minutes. It’s a beautifully crafted melancholic masterpiece, which perfectly encapsulates the sweet instrumental style adopted by the late, great, Swede, during his latter career years.
