Lost Frequencies Announces Highly-Anticipated New Single And Debut Album

After worldwide hit singles ‘Are You With Me’  and ‘Reality’, Lost Frequencies just took another big step towards the continuation of his meteoric rise to international stardom. The young Belgian prodigy inked a deal with Armada Music, signing his forthcoming album to the Amsterdam-based record company.

The first single of Lost Frequencies’ forthcoming album, ‘Beautiful Life’, is already set for release on June 3rd this year and is to feature in the official aftermovie of Tomorrowland Brasil. The acclaimed festival touched down in the South-American country last week and Lost Frequencies himself performed at the main stage on Thursday April 21st.

Lost Frequencies, born Felix de Laet, released debut single ‘Are You With Me’ on Armada Music sub label The Bearded Man less than two years ago, after which it grew to be a worldwide hit single. ‘Are You With Me’ was awarded with certified gold, platinum, and multiple platinum in more than a dozen countries, all the while the song racked up more than half a billion streams to date. In addition, ‘Are You With Me’ claimed the sought-after #1 spot in the UK Singles Charts.

‘Reality’, the second single of the Belgian superstar, was made in collaboration with singer-songwriter Janieck Devy and followed in the footsteps of ‘Are You With Me’. The record was also released on The Bearded Man last year; it reeled in certified gold and platinum in almost as many countries as its predecessor and adds more than 300 million streams to the tally. On top of that, ‘Reality’ went on to claim the #1 spot in the European Airplay Chart in 2015.

Maykel Piron, CEO Armada Music“We are more than excited about extending the collaboration with Felix (Lost Frequencies). He is not only a talented producer and DJ, but also a great person. A ‘friend of the office’ who inspires the staff with his music and spirit. We love that! We can’t wait to release the follow-up to ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’. ‘Beautiful Life’ is the perfect single.”

Lost Frequencies: “I am so excited to show the world all of the new music I’ve been working on since ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’. I still can’t really comprehend all that has happened, but I’m sure that the renewed partnership between Armada Music, my team, and myself will spark yet another crazy journey for ‘Beautiful Life’ and my debut album.”

Nick Royaards, manager of Lost Frequencies“It has been an amazing journey so far and we hope the fans are ready to embrace all of the new music Lost Frequencies has ready to share. We have strong belief in Armada Music and know Maykel Piron and his team will do an incredible job with both the single and the new album. The synergy between our teams is something very special and has produced some truly amazing results to date, so we’re excited for what’s to come.”

Few dance albums have experienced the level of hype and buildup that ‘Something Real’ has had over the past year. From Billboard to MTV, Fedde has won the praise and backing from some of the biggest tastemakers in the industry and in doing so, has cemented his reputation as one of the most respected and revered dance producers of the decade.

A culmination of over 3 years of production, and spanning an impressive fourteen tracks in total, ‘Something Real’ is a dynamic and multi-faceted piece of work – a rare find in electronic music’s current climate. With ‘Cinematic’, ‘The Noise’, ‘Feel Good’, ‘Keep On Believing’, and ‘Give Me Some’ already creating buzz across the airwaves, fans can now get their hands on another nine sublime cuts from Fedde.

Collaborations with Cobra Effect, Jared Lee, Jonathan Mendelsohn, Erene, Espa, and Grammy winner MoZella – whose co-writes include One Direction’s ‘Perfect’ and Miley Cyrus’ #1 hit ‘Wrecking Ball’ – exemplifies Fedde’s dedication to create something completely original and to deviate from the norm. Resulting in a diverse collection of sounds and styles rarely found in most dance albums, ‘Something Real’ manages to set itself apart as a unique body of work.

Ensuring that each track has its own distinct flavor, from gorgeous vocally compelling numbers like “Beauty From The Ashes”, to the Espa assisted, chord driven “Pity Love”, and weaving between 80’s funk riffs in ‘Give Me Some’ and bouncy house melodies in ‘Feel Good’, Fedde manages to effortlessly touch on numerous genres whilst still maintaining his signature sound.

A particular highlight of the LP comes with Fedde’s cover of Corona’s timeless classic ‘Rhythm Of The Night’. The first time this iconic vocal has been cleared for use, the track bears all the necessary hallmarks of a summer smash hit. With talk of a club edit arriving soon, be sure to keep an ear out for what undoubtedly will be a main-stage monster of a record.

As a further caveat to the finished product Fedde has crafted an exclusive album mix for fellow Dutch superstar Tiësto, check it out below:

‘Something Real’ serves as both a monumental effort and lifetime achievement for Fedde Le Grand. Despite having released some of the best dance records of the last decade, this album is arguably his biggest accomplishment to date – however this only marks the beginning of what will be an incredibly busy year. With his ground-breaking ‘GRAND’ show returning on March 12th, and with performances at Ultra South Africa and Miami around the corner, Fedde looks set to dominate 2016 and beyond.
