Documenting what is officially the largest electronic music festival in Croatia’s history, this breath-taking piece of videography is certain to whet the appetites of the scores of Ultranauts preparing to make the annual pilgrimage to the Dalmatian coast later this year.
Created and directed by Charly Friedrich’s critically acclaimed Final Kid team, the nine-minute masterpiece showcases the wild array of talent on show across at Destination ULTRA, as we witness superstar acts from all walks of electronic music such as Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Axwell^Ingrosso, Carl Cox, The Chemical Brothers, David Guetta, Marco Carola, Solomun, Steve Angello and Tiësto bringing their signature sounds to the masses.
Kicking off in the heart of Split, the movie takes us on a journey across Destination ULTRA – Croatia Music Week, as we witness each unique event across the seven-day extravaganza. Ultranauts are instantly transported back to July 2015, as we witness the one-off yacht party at Zlatni Rat Beach, a sold-out ULTRA Beach party in Hvar and the unparalleled RESISTANCE-themed closing party that was held at an abandoned fort on the Island of Vis, all in the space of minutes of the movie starting. Additionally, we get a sneak peek inside the exclusive ULTRA campsite where the heart of the festival and all its attendees reside, before being taken to the main event at the Poljud Stadium to finish the film in true style.
Friedrichs’ inimitable methods of video production have become synonymous with the aftermovie genre over the past few years, and he outdoes himself once again with this beautiful offering – as he perfectly captures the spine-tingling atmosphere that was present across the entirety of Croatia’s Destination ULTRA week.

Jonas Blue ft. Dakota – Fast Car [Jonas Blue Music]

Up-and-coming, London based producer, Jonas Blue has released a dramatic reimaging of Tracy Chapman’s classic song ‘Fast Car’. Teaming up with incredible young vocal talent, Dakota, Blue has swapped the original’s lilting guitar for an upbeat tropical house sound – and now he’s ready to unveil the official video.

Set in the dusty, sand planes of the US Midwest, the visual focuses on the classic story of boy meets girl, as an epic race across the dunes develops. After crashing her motorbike, one of the men, all of whom were trying to keep up on horseback, takes it upon himself to go to her aid. The two then spend the night under the stars in the desert, tapping into bohemian themes of freedom and love, before one last twist ensures adds to the hazy, dream-like nature of the video itself.

With the record itself already a certified global smash – it’s claimed the #1 spot on iTunes and certified Gold in both Australia Sweden, #1 iTunes Sweden, reached #3 on the UK’s viral Spotify chart, #2 on the US viral chart, #4 on the global chart and amassed almost 10 million plays on Spotify too – the official video is sure to add to the global buzz surrounding the single.

The Chainsmokers – New York City (Dash Berlin Remix & Video) [Armada]

The Chainsmokers have had a successful 2016. Their latest track “Roses” has reached the highest position on the Billboard charts they’ve ever seen, as well as a #1 on the Dance charts.

Now it’s time for Dash Berlin to take over their previous release “New York City” that came out in October last year.

The widely known producer from Hague delivers a new trancier interpretation that plays well off of the already carefully crafted melody in the original.

The Chainsmokers have also already been announced for Insomniac’s annual Crush Festival in February; they’ll headline the Dallas event, along with Lost Kings, NGHTMRE, and Slander.

Before that happened, we wanted to catch up with them and check in, see how things are going in the new year. “DALLAS! We are coming to party with you at the first ever CRUSH Texas. Bring your Valentine or bring the squad! emoticon heart ‪#‎CRUSHTX‬”, mentioned on their official FB page.

Oscar & Deon – Killer (Official Music Video) [Avant/Garde]

It is always amazing to see fans and supporters wanting to contribute to our vision with their work. Even more amazing when the outcome of such effort is as professional as this.

When Poppy Buckley reached out to us asking if she could use Oscar & Deon‘s track ‘Killer‘, that had been released by us in mid 2015, for a music video for her film production degree, we didn’t think twice.

The outcome is an official music video that the artist herself describes as a video where she “tried and tested a lot of things with a main focus on mental health, with an experimental aspect to it.”

Fedde Le Grand – The Noise (VIDEO) [Darklight Records]

A true dance music legend that needs little in the way of introduction, Fedde Le Grand is treating his global fan-base to yet another foot stomper in the shape of ‘The Noise’- out now on Darklight Records.

Download / Watch / Stream ‘The Noise’

Living up to its name in all the best possible ways, ‘The Noise’ is a supercharged and energetic dance record that, although a slight departure from Fedde’s usual production style, has been sending revellers into a bass induced frenzy the world over. Already catching the attention of industry heavyweights including Tiesto, Twoloud, W&W, and Dannic, Fedde has ensured his return to the studio has resulted in yet another main stage monster set to dominate the clubs all the way into 2016.

This latest release follows on from Fedde’s huge remix of Faithless’ magnum opus – Insomnia, a track that proved a firm favourite throughout his South American Ultra Tour this year and continues to wow crowds at Fedde’s show in all corners of the globe. Halfway through his current tour of Asia, with 7 mammoth shows remaining including Seoul, Beijing and Jakarta, Fedde will quite literally be bringing ‘The Noise’ to his remaining shows, cementing his DJ Mag Top 100 status and fuelling the excitement surrounding his full album release early next year.

San Holo (ft. The Nicholas) – Can’t Forget You (VIDEO) [Spinnin]

‘Future Bass’ trailblazer and remix aficionado, San Holo is igniting the airwaves once again with his latest original installment, Can’t Forget You. Out via Spinnin’ Records, its available to download and stream now.

BUY: SAN HOLO – ‘Can’t Forget You’ [Spinnin’ Records]

Seamlessly weaving The Nicholas’ vocals with rich synth harmonies, San Holo’s new cut builds in emotion and energy from start to finish. With a thumping melodic topline propped up by chordal stabs and hammering percussion, ‘Can’t Forget You’ dabbles in the bubblegum-side of the genre whilst still maintaining some serious punch we know and love from the young producer.

Few can dispute the raw talent of Sander Van Djick aka San Holo. Still relatively fresh on the scene, his music has reached astounding levels of popularity– most notably his remix of Dr. Dre’s The Next Episode, which is currently resting at 52 million views on YouTube and forms one part of San’s wildly popular ‘Don’t Touch The Classics’ remix collection.

With a world tour this year across North America, Canada and Europe, his fans are as far reaching as they are loyal; a testament to both his popularity as a producer as well as his energy as a performer.

Having launched his label ‘bitbird’ at ADE this year, released his Victory EP on Monstercat, and with a string of sold out shows behind him (including a Tomorrowland debut) with more on the horizon in Australia and New Zealand, San Holo is certainly worthy of the ‘one to watch’ accolade for 2016.

Nero – Into The Night (Official Video) [MTA]

Nero have a knack for curating one-of-a-kind video content. Their new music video for “Into the Night” from BETWEEN II WORLDS album takes us back into their dystopian, cyberpunk world, only this time with an animated spin.

The vocal heavy single, featuring a rare duet from Nero, provides the soundtrack for an action-laden adventure with a heavy nod to classic Japanese anime series like Ghost in the Shell and Akira.

The trio even make a cameo one third of the way through, rocking the virtual stage in animated form. The video was directed by Markus Lundqvist and Dan Stephens (one half of the production side of Nero) with animation by Red Knuckles.

Nero said of the video: “It’s been a dream of ours to commission an animated official video for one of our singles. We’re very proud of this one.”

Third Party – Waiting (Official Music Video) [Armada]

With a signature sound able to rival the best, Third Party bring another one of their slammers to their very own imprint on Armdada Music.

Combining enthralling chord progressions with a vocal sound underlining the strength and prowess of this marvelous cut, ‘Waiting For You’ is what anyone would treasure; solid rhythms, a powerful melody, and the fact that it is more than capable of blowing your mind within any amounts of listens.

Below you can watch the official video via Armada.
