Paris & Simo ft. Errol Reid – Can You See [Revealed]

Beatport Link: goo.gl/CPnyJR

Montreal natives Paris & Simo have teamed up with UK based singer/songwriter Errol Reid for their next Revealed Recordings release, “Can you see” – a potent slice of energetic progressive house available worldwide from November 9th. With their earlier Revealed releases such as “Not Alone” with Mako, and “Escape” with 3LAU and Bright Lights, the duo cemented their place on the industry radar, and with “Can you see” they edge ever closer to the stratospheric levels of success they have aimed for from the start.

“Can you see” leaps out of its tense opening crescendo into a hyperactive combination of pulsating melodies, thumping beats and fractured vocals, before evolving into a colossal dance anthem and introducing ethereal melodies and a harmonious breakdown. After having demonstrated a keen ear for both the intricacies of dance music and the trends of club culture on their earlier releases, Paris & Simo now develop these ideas to craft a towering and infinitely danceable club anthem that perfectly encapsulates the tone of the genre in 2015.

With the weight of Revealed Recordings behind their endeavours, Paris & Simo are surely the artists to watch in 2016, and with this collaboration they have firmly placed themselves among the finest exports of the year. Catch “Can you see” worldwide from November 9th.

Paris & Simo Signature Sound
What particularly fascinated with “Can You See” is the blend of classic groove house sound, classic house sound and the Paris & Simo Signature Sound. This mixture in conjunction with the great vocals of Errol Reid then gives a really new and fresh spin on the genre and definitely a real bomb. In Break reminds especially the piano to the older house tracks. With Errol Reid’s vocals that causes a very nice oldschool effect. The main part goes in a rather interesting way. Paris & Simo put more on a powerful lead sound as a dominant bass. A bit unusual, but it brings something fresh to the genre effects. However, one knows not exactly like this Preview is excised. If this is the second drop, the method with the eye-catching lead is normal.

Martin Jensen – Miracles (ft. Bjørnskov) [disco:wax]

Over the course of this year viral phenomenon and Danish superstar, DJ Martin Jensen has, in cooperation with his Danish label disco:wax, created a social media frenzy with his creative approach to dance music production. Using short sound snippets from YouTube videos, DJ Martin Jensen has successfully created global EDM-hits. The Danish superstar now celebrates hitting 1 million likes on his Facebook page (and a staggering 119 million views on his videos) with the release of ‘Miracles’ Ft. Bjørnskov on Nordic imprint disco:wax.

DJ Martin Jensen has become one of Danish music’s greatest viral success stories, a fact supported by the enormous hype around the release of only his third single ‘Miracles’ ft. Bjørnskov.

‘Miracles’ is an undeniably tropical number with an infectious hook and soulful top line. With its building energy and deft chord progression, ‘Miracles’ proves an instant hit with universal appeal.  The main melody is a sample from the ultra-popular Youtube video ‘Duck Army’, which the Danish DJ recorded and manipulated. Martin then built the framework of the track around the manipulated sample, producing a remarkable end result and demonstrating his extraordinary musical ability.

A teaser video for the single showing how he made the track was uploaded onto Martin’s Facebook page in September. The video, entitled ‘Tropical Duck Army’, has so far been viewed over 22 million times. The catchy hook sparked several unofficial bootlegs on YouTube and created huge hype around the official track and around DJ Martin Jensen himself.

Martin’s debut single, ‘Sí’, which sampled Cristiano Ronaldo’s voice, spread like wildfire earlier this year exceeding over 14 million streams on Spotify. The track flew into the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s ‘Global Viral Top-50,’ surpassing some of the biggest names in dance music as it topped Spotify charts in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain and Germany. With the release of ‘Miracles’, Martin is set for a blockbusting end to 2015 as he flies upwards through the dance music ranks, with his sights firmly set on the No. 1 spot.

Throttle x Earth, Wind & Fire– SEPTEMBER [Ultra Music] (Preview)

Meet the man who’s single-handedly reinventing disco. It’s not often that you find a 19-year-old producer referencing Earth, Wind and Fire as his favourite act. That’s exactly the case with explosive new talent Throttle, the teenager from Australia who’s racked up an alarming list of achievements over the past three years and who – with the official backing of Earth, Wind and Fire – is set to scale the heights even further with new single ‘September’, set for release through Ultra Music on November 13th.

Giving fans an exclusive preview of the track, “Dirty Disco” pioneer Throttle is the only artist ever to have been allowed by the band to use the original parts from their body of work, a fact that may surprise more mainstream media unfamiliar with his work.

The decision to legitimise his updated 21st century revision of what is – without doubt – one of the most iconic tracks ever written, is indicative of the absolute trust placed in him by the band to carry their torch forward. Throttle has produced a stunning re-imagination, one that demands attention and beckons to the dance floor, whilst preserving that unmistakable Earth, Wind & Fire magic.

Armed with advanced studio finesse, his beloved guitar and a clear idea of where dance music needs to go, Throttle is not just the new kid on the block – he is the future of the genre and beyond – way, way beyond.

Ralvero & Karim Mika – Mad [Revealed]

Both Ralvero and Karim Mika have made their individual marks on Revealed in recent months, with both having tracks featured on the massive Revealed Volume 6 compilation at the start of the summer. Mad’ wastes no time in ramping the energy up to 11, with tight percussion, pounding kicks, and throbbing basslines that should get you stomping your feet and pumping your fist. The crowning glory of the track is the main riff, which turns ‘Mad’ into a proper mainstage anthem, with a deep and lush sonic landscape that highlights the pair’s ability to master the finer points of studio production on top of creating a club-friendly monster.

Ralvero and Karim have their own respective talents, each having garnered the support and respect of some of the biggest names in the scene over the duration of their careers. Yet ‘Mad’ feels like a duet that was custom made to hone and highlight the best both have to offer, and the only disappointment is that these guys didn’t jump in the studio together sooner.
