Loco Dice launches new Desolat event series SERÁN BENDECIDOS

Internationally-renowned DJ, producer and label owner Loco Dice is poised to widen the activities of his prolific Desolat imprint.

SERÁN BENDECIDOS will focus on a group of artists including Dice’s companions from the past decade and introduce new and exciting international guests into the core family.

SERÁN BENDECIDOS echoes the ethos of unity, community and freedom.

The event – like Loco Dice’s sets and music –  will blur the lines of house and techno sub-genres to unite everyone, creating a euphoric party atmosphere.

Desolat began in Brooklyn 10 years ago and is still one of the most pivotal and influential labels in the industry. Through Desolat, Dice has released music of numerous artists including many which form this new collective.

Each of these artists brings a different flavour into the mix – Dice and his well known hip-hop influences that shine through his energetic sets, Guti with his live band and jazz background, Francisco Allendes and his classical roots as well as Yaya with his unique musical family background -, and reflects the no-boundaries style of the label.

Always with his sights toward the future, Dice’s SERÁN BENDECIDOS sees Desolat embark on a new adventure, that builds upon the ethos of the label.

The debut SERÁN BENDECIDOS event will occur in the multi-cultural hub of Barcelona during the OFF week schedule. With a line-up boasting a diverse mixture of established and upcoming artists, it allows Dice to create an extended platform to showcase new, unique talent from around the world, whom he has supported over the years. This edition will feature core label artists at the helm featuring Guti, Yaya and Francisco Allendes. Alongside them are long time Desolat recording artists and No More Meat Records founder Danny Ocean alongside new recruit, Bucharest’s rising star Mahony bringing their eclectic sound to the bill.

Representing an alluring melting pot of cultures and genres, SERÁN BENDECIDOS reflects Dice’s forward-thinking, motivating and innovative attitude which has secured him a highly-respected status within the industry. Marking the beginning of a new chapter, the Desolat label continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be a brand in the electronic music world – keeping its representation as one of the most important imprints 10 years on.

SERÁN BENDECIDOS will be held on Saturday 17th June at City Hall, Barcelona.

Adding to the likes of Phoenix, The Kooks, Kodaline and hip hop heavyweight Big Sean announced earlier this year, are four more world-class artists, all of whom will be making their We The Fest debuts.

They join Aussie trio Cosmos Midnight and fellow countryman Wave Racer, who will showcase their distinct indie-electro styles to WTF revellers on the last night of the festival.

We The Fest has made a name for itself by offering more than just hand-picked musical talent, and this year will be no different. With the first 4 ‘activations’ from its ‘Beyond The Music’ lineup just announced, festival-goers are set to have a truly eclectic experience.

These activations include the WTF Market, which will sell everything from vinyls and clothing to souvenirs and more, and the ‘Art Village’, where ticket-holders have a chance to let their creative juices flow throughout the day.
