Over the weekend churches and towers around Europe were mourning with their bells to pay homage to Avicii, who died suddenly in Friday. In a tribute to the late Swedish artist, a town in the Netherlands played some of his most popular songs with its bell tower on Saturday morning.

In Utrecht when Bellringers at the Dom Church rang three Avicii‘s hits: ‘Wake Me Up’, ‘Hey Brother’ and ‘Without You’.
The music rang out from the Dom Tower in Utrecht, Netherlands, CNN affiliate RTL Netherlands reported. It’s the tallest church tower in the country.
Pim Brassien, 30, of Utrecht, filmed some of the tribute. He recognized the Avicii tracks “Wake Me Up,” “Without You” and “Hey Brother” as the bells chimed.

Along with emotional homages from the music fraternity and fans, a church in the Netherlands also gave a beautiful tribute to the musical genius.

The Grammy-nominated Swedish artist, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead Friday in Muscat, Oman. He was 28.
One of the most successful DJs in the music industry, he worked with influential artists including Madonna and Coldplay.

In my case the “bug” of journalism overcame "DJing". However, the search for new electronic dance music remains... an addiction. I work as an editor on a nationwide daily newspaper in Athens, where’s my permanent residence. I retain the following Blog, which is updated daily. My hobby is conducting interviews with Greek and foreign producers/DJs.
