Fusing experience and great ideas with the passion and drive of two of the scene’s most successful acts, Kingpin (Clap) is a tried and tested tour de force in dance floor destruction.

Joining forces for the first time ever, the first studio offering from Olly James and Futuristic Polar Bears is a brutal collaboration that packs punch and bassweight in a track that’s guaranteed to keep your set locked in: Kingpin (Clap).

Operating as a genuine statement of intent, Kingpin (Clap) opens with thunderous drums and a build-up that leads to an onslaught of mind-bending synths with the drop. Giving you chance to catch your breath in the breakdown, Kingpin (Clap) soon gets right back to business and takes energy levels back to fever pitches. With a standout vocal and the very best in production from both parties, this one is going to be a summer festival staple.

Both artists have had a phenomenal few years with Olly James quickly making a name for himself on the scene through high profile releases on Revealed Recordings and Spinnin Records, whilst Futuristic Polar Bears have joined the ranks with chart-hitters on Spinnin, Revealed and most recently, Smash The House.

It was therefore only a matter of time that the two acts would join forces and speaking about the collaboration, the Futuristic Polar Bears said:

“We got in touch with Olly James through Twitter, we’ve been loving his productions for a while now and they’re a staple in our sets and podcasts so it seemed like a great shout to take up the opportunity to work together.

Kingpin is one of those tracks that came together quite naturally and we’ve both been testing it out on the road with massive response each time it gets drops. We had a chat about giving it away for free as a warm up ahead of our summer plans and since we couldn’t wait any longer to release it – here it is. Enjoy!”

Now available as a free download via Soundcloud, and already gaining support from HARDWELL, WOLFPACK, VINAI, CHAINSMOKERS, YVES V, HENRY FONG, SANDRO SILVA, BORGEOUS, FTAMPA, BLASTERJAXX, KEVU, TRITONAL & MANY MORE you can expect Kingpin (Clap) to become a steadfast summer anthem as both artists begin their respective summer tours with this weapon primed and ready to do damage.

In my case the “bug” of journalism overcame "DJing". However, the search for new electronic dance music remains... an addiction. I work as an editor on a nationwide daily newspaper in Athens, where’s my permanent residence. I retain the following Blog, which is updated daily. My hobby is conducting interviews with Greek and foreign producers/DJs.
